The Organizing Committee of the Collaborative Workshop on Aquatic Models and 21st Century Toxicology invites students and postdoctoral fellows presenting posters at the meeting to apply for two awards.
- The Trainee Travel Award will be given to defray travel expenses for students or postdoctoral researchers who live over 60 miles from Raleigh, NC.
- The Poster Presentation Award will recognize students and postdoctoral trainees of exceptional merit.
Both trainee awards are competitive awards. Applicants for the Poster Award must be present to field questions about their poster during the poster session. Trainee travel awardees and applicants for the Poster Award must attend the evening reception at the Museum of Natural Sciences.
Applications for both awards should be emailed to Jon Hamm no later than April 21, 2014. Applications must include:
- An email stating your intent to apply for one or both of the awards, your position (undergraduate, graduate or postdoctoral trainee), your institute of research, and a statement confirming that you will attend the evening reception at the Museum of Natural Sciences.
- For the Travel Award, please have your mentor email a letter of support indicating the role of the applicant and independence conducting the research.

Recipients of the Travel Award will be notified by April 14. Recipients of the Poster Presentation Award will be announced at the evening reception at the Museum of Natural Sciences.
